Life Legacy
Jeffrey Leigh Brindley, 55, of Newark formerly of Coshocton passed away December 16, 2011 at his home following a long illness. He was born May 26, 1956 in Coshocton, Ohio the son of Richard and Barbara Brindley of Coshocton.
Jeff was a 1974 Graduate of Coshocton High School, a 1982 Graduate of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Program, and a 1987 Graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.
Jeff was a former Deputy Sheriff with the Licking County Sheriff's Department. He was also a former Coshocton County Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff, and most recently was employed by Crown Equipment. Jeff was a Benefactor Member of the National Rifle Association, a Life Member of the Law Enforcement Alliance of America, a Proud Supporter of the U.S. Shooting Team, and Defender of the Second Amendment. In his youth he was an active Boy Scout earning the rank of Life Scout and the honor of the God and Country Award. He was a social member of VFW Post 1330, an avid golfer and reader.
Jeff is survived by two sisters Cindy (Randy) Hall and Pam (Kevin) Wright. He is also survived by his three beloved nephews Scott Callahan II, and Brandon and Kirby Wright. Jeff's family also included loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his beloved dog Daisy. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Paul and Dorothy Brindley, maternal grandparents Ned and Margaret Dutton, and an infant brother Gregory.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton with Pastor Starkey Lawrence officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
