Jeffrey A. Holskey, 74, of Coshocton, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Coshocton on February 19, 1942, to the late Elwood (Butch) and Betty (Mills) Holskey.
Jeff was a 1960 graduate of West Lafayette High School. He was in the Army National Guard from 1959-1960. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964. He began his career with AT&T in 1964, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the Coshocton Eagles, Masonic Temple, and a lifetime member of the Coshocton Elks Lodge #376.
He is survived by the love of his life, Gladys (Polcyn) Holskey, whom he married May 7, 1962 and four beloved children: Shelly (Larry) Mullens, Lori Holskey Verhelle and fiancé Curt Chapman, Doug Holskey and Denise Holskey, all of Coshocton.
Jeff was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren that he dearly loved.
Grandchildren: Jesse (Jennifer) Edie, Bobbie Edie, Shawn (Shanyn Price) Fallon and Jaron (Rachel) Fallon, Alaina Verhelle, Katie McClain and fiancé Troy Pritt, Ashley Holskey, Steven (Beth) Holskey, Taylor and Eric Dickerson.
Great Grandchildren: Peighton, Colton and Trenton Edie, Raiden Fallon, Blake, Cruz and Lacey McClain, August Holskey, Harmony Fisher, Tayson Dickerson-King and two more great grandchildren on the way.
Jeff is also survived by his sister, Willa (Wilbur) Hamersley; many nieces and nephews and two special fur babies, Buster and Nicki, brought a lot of joy to Jeff’s life.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters: Constance (Connie) McConnell and Gwen (Cookie) Holskey, and brothers: Stephen Holskey and Randy (Grump) Holskey.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday July 27, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM where an Elks service will begin at 5:30 PM. Calling hours will also be observed one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Mark Granger officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery with Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.
Memorial contributions may be directed to New Life Ministries and/or the Coshocton County Animal Shelter; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
