Jeffrey Simmons

Jeffrey Lynn Simmons, 72, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, in Coshocton, Ohio.

Born on May 14, 1952, in Coshocton, "Jeff" spent his life surrounded by family and friends in the community he called home. He proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating his dedication to his country.

Jeff was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. He had a deep appreciation for good food and never missed an opportunity to share a meal with those he loved. His sense of humor was ever-present, always ready with a joke to bring laughter to any gathering. He also had a special place in his heart for his dogs and found joy in the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Diane (Laflin) Simmons; his brother Greg (Gail) Simmons; his children Josh (Rickelle) Simmons, Ashley (Josh) Lomberger, and Jason Dempsey; and his cherished grandchildren Natalie, Charley, Avery, and Tegan. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him greatly. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Joan Simmons.

A cremation will take place with The Miller Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will hold a private family gathering to celebrate Jeff's life.
