Jeffrey “JD” Duane Baker Sr., 57, formerly of Dresden, passed away on June 26th, 2018 at Genesis Hospital surrounded by his children.
JD was born December 21st, 1960 in Zanesville, to the late Donald and Bonnie Baker. He was a member of the Millwrights Union Local 1090, from which he retired after 30+ years of service. He was a member of the Coshocton Legion post #65, The Elks of Coshocton, VFW and a long time member of the Sons of the American Legion post #399 in Dresden. Jeff loved to spend his time with his lifelong friends at the Blue Front, spending time on the riverbank and listening to his favorite band RIF-RAF. His hugs and huge, contagious smile will always be remembered and missed by many.
Surviving are his four children Jeff (Wanda) Baker Jr. , Johnnie (Darrell) Mayer, Josh (Tristin) Baker and Jacob Baker, all of Dresden. Along with nine grandchildren Stone, Sabin, Saxton, Casen, Clayten, Callen & Autumn Baker, & Reagan and Reece Bollinger. two great-grandchildren, Jinson & Saige Baker. Also surviving are his band of brothers, Steve 'Milz' Miller, Steve 'Bent-Arm' Nestleroad, Steve 'Brownie' Brown, Bobby 'Boss' McGee and Charlie 'Rossi' Ross. He will also be greatly missed by his dear and special friend Selena Cross, whom he proudly shared the last of his life with.
In following JD's wishes no funeral will be observed. There will be a Celebration of Life & Benefit held at the American Legion in Dresden on Saturday July 28th, with a Spaghetti Dinner beginning at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations for the silent auction will be accepted at the American Legion post #399.
