Jerry A. Dunfee, 71, of Coshocton passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 due to injuries from a motorcycle accident. He was born in Coshocton on August 11, 1947 to the late Durwood “Bill” and Elaine (McClary) Dunfee.
He served in the United States Navy and retired from Kraft Foods after working there for 25 years. He was a member of the Coshocton Gun Club and the NRA. He loved riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, hunting mushrooms, and being outdoors.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Kay (Carroll) Dunfee, whom he married December 6, 1969; brother Ben Aronhalt; brother and sister-in-laws Phyllis (Fred) Osborne of Pataskala, Judy (Sandy) Young of Fresno, Forbes (Shari) Carroll of Columbus, Robert (Dee) Carroll of Coshocton, Lynda (Phil) Bechtol of Coshocton, Mike (Patty Layland) Carroll of Warsaw, and Pat (Jack) Lewis of West Lafayette; aunt and uncle Virginia and Ron Carroll; step mother Rose Mary Dunfee; his dog Rusty and 100 nieces and nephews that he thought the world of.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Denny Dunfee; brother-in-law Mark Carroll; and niece Jacki Carroll.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday with Pastor Steve Bentley officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery, where the Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed to the Coshocton Sportsman’s Club or the Shriner's Hospital for Children, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
