Jerry D. Stubbs, 77, of Warsaw went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at his home. He was born on March 19, 1947 in Coshocton to the late William R. Stubbs and Joyce Eileen (Walker) Stubbs Holdsworth. He also had a step- father, Ronald Holdsworth that preceded him in death. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served from 66-68 as Tunnel Rat in Vietnam. He worked at Stone Container Corporation for 37 years, first as a Millwright then as a Millwright Foreman. He then worked for Tim Gearhart Trucking, using his hands to fix equipment and help daily operations. Tim was pivotal in Jerry’s relationship with Jesus, helping him to be a Christian by offering his support, love and friendship. He had valuable skills; car mechanics, lawn mower repair and general fix-it guy. On March 24, 1967, Jerry married Kathy (MacDonald) Stubbs, who survives. They spent 57 years together through the joyous, tough times and sometimes trying times. Jerry was selfless and committed to his family as well as those around him. He provided when they needed help, whether it was spending time with them or fixing something that needed attention. He worked hard to make sure his family went on yearly vacations to experience different people and localities and most importantly spend time together. He was a member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church and always willing to lend a helpful hand to the church.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lisa A. (Randy) O’Dell; grandchildren, Brittany (Tristan) Williamson, Danielle M. (Cody Lewis) Chaney and Brandon (Tina) Chaney; great grandchildren, special buddy, Kohen and Karter Williamson; siblings, Mary Lou (Charles) MacDonald.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Greg (Lois) Stubbs, Vickie Lynn Hall and a stillborn sibling.
