John E Sharier Jr.

John Edward Sharier Jr., 72, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Barberton, Ohio on September 10, 1947 to the late John E. and Vivian (Collmar) Sharier Sr..

John served in the United States Army from 1966-1969 and work for Kno-Ho-Ko for more than 30 years in maintenance.  He was a member of the Coshocton Eagles Lodge, AMVETS and the Coshocton Moose Lodge.  He enjoyed, traveling, playing the guitar, and riding motorcycles with his family.

John is survived by his wife, Edith (Neudecker) Sharier, who he married January 12, 1968;  children Marie Ann (Leroy) Green of Coshocton, Cindy Lou Sharier of Warsaw, John E. (Rhonda) Sharier III of Wintersville, OH and Vicky (John) Piper of Coshocton; 11 grandchildren Heather Sharier, Eric Sharier, Rebecca Sharier, Adrianna (Devin) Armstrong, Kendall Sharier Green, Donald (Jeannette) Adkins, Dustin (Alley) Adkins, Ashley Daugherty, Alicia Borden, Troy (Kerra) Green and Cassandra (William) Carter; 19 great grandchildren; special nephews Gary Tennant, Chris, Jack and Matt Sharier; brother Duane (Sheri) Sharier of Coshocton; sisters Donna Tennent and Catherine (Donald) Brooks both of Coshocton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his three brothers Jack, Chris and William “Bill” Sharier.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Monday August 10, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM where funeral services for John will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Larry Massie officiating.  Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery with Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.

Due to Covid-19, we are requiring visitors coming to the funeral home to wear their own face masks and we will be limiting the number of attendees inside the building.
