Life Legacy

Joseph G. Barna, 78, of Coshocton, Ohio, formerly of Ancram, NY, passed away at his niece's house in Coshocton on Thursday August 23, 2012. Joseph was born in Hudson, NY on July 14, 1934 to the late Toni and Mary (Markus) Barna. He served in the United States Navy for 23 years as a Navy Photographer where he earned rank of Chief. He is survived by his son Thomas Barna of Maine; two nieces Sheila Taylor of Coshocton, Ohio and Valerie (Jim) Walter of Newark, OH; two nephews Robert Taylor of Pataskala, OH and Brian (Ellen) Taylor of Orlando, FL. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Margaret Taylor; brother John Barna. Per his wishes, a cremation has taken place, his remains will be entombed in Holy Cross Cemetery in Etna, Ohio at a later date.
