Joseph Frank Croll

Joseph F. Croll passed away at his home in Coshocton the morning of August 30, 2017 at the age of 87.

Joseph was born May 4, 1930 in Solon, Ohio, graduated from Nashville High School (Ohio) in 1949 and was baptized September 24, 1999 at Calvary Baptist Church.

Joseph served in the Army in Germany as a military police officer, worked at Pretty Products and then worked and retired from Universal Cyclops (A.K. Steel) in 1992. He enjoyed his family, nature, travel, working at the New Life Ministries food pantry and helping people.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Kay, of 17 years, his son Lawrence Croll (Joyce), daughter Katherine Morgan (Joe), daughter Theresa Lochtefeld (Bob), stepson Jay Larson, grandchildren Marianne (Cece) Thornton, Anna Moser, Abigail Lochtefeld, Pauline Spangler (Joel), Joy Lochtefeld,  Rose Lochtefeld and great grandchildren Katherine (Katie), Joseph (Joey), Taylor, Robert, Roy, Payton and Clarence. Other survivors include brothers George and Ernest as well as sister in laws Florence Smolen (Ray), Dorothy Lanning (Wilbur), Patty Kennedy (Melvin), Bonnie Morrison (Junior), brother in law Ted Brooks (Vera) and many nieces and nephews.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Edna Croll, wife Marianne Croll (Adams), his brothers Leroy Croll and Lloyd Croll and sisters Eleanor Majewski, Alfredia Barr and Marian Croll.

The family is having a private graveside service at Nashville Cemetery in Nashville, Ohio.

The family of Joseph Croll would like to extend a special thank you to the hospice staff for helping the family through Joseph’s final days.

A memorial service will be held at New Life Ministries, 727 S. 7th Street, Coshocton, Ohio on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 12:00pm with a time of food and fellowship to follow.

Donations can be made to Community Hospice of Coshocton, Ohio or New Life Ministries, envelopes will be available at the church.
