Josephine "Jo" (Angel) Gibson

Josephine “Jo” (Angel) Gibson, 94 of Coshocton passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gallipolis, OH on November 13, 1929 to the late Brady T. Angel and Belva (Martin) Angel.

Jo was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Coshocton, was on the Board of the Senior Center, and worked at Edmonts for 10 years. She was a loving wife to Irwin, a precious mother to her four children, five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and loving sister to 15 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 76 ½ years, Irwin Gibson. They were married June 7, 1947; three children Reda K. (Harold) Fowler of Bidwell, OH, Connie Sue (Bob) Bowers of Beach City, OH, and Randy (Marcie) Gibson of Coshocton, OH; grandchildren Amy Jo (Rob) Barrick of Ashville, OH, Robbie (Rachael) Bowers of Bolivar, OH, Ryan (Emily) Bowers of Akron, OH, Andrea (Matthew) Unger of Coshocton, OH, and Michael (Jenna) Gibson of Fresno, OH; great grandchildren Taylor Barrick (Andrew Pemberton), Madison Barrick, Bobby James Bowers, Zachary B Howell, Reid A. Howell, Brady R. Howell, Wyatt M. Unger, Gatlin M. Gibson, Riley J. Bowers, Milo M. Bowers, and Owen Bowers; brothers Brady Angel Jr., of Crown City, OH, and Roger (Vicky) Angel of Crown City, OH; sister Pauline Angel Jeffers of Florida; sister-in-law Juanita Angel of Crown City, OH; brother-in-law Donald Perkins of Gallipolis, OH, and Jim Clary of Crown City, OH.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son Michael Ray Gibson; daughter-in-law Kathy Gibson; grandson Parker J. Gibson; other family Donald (Carrie Finley) Angel, James (Audrey Shafer) Angel, Ralph (Gladys Stewart) Angel, Raymond Angel, Betty L. Crouse, Frances Crouse, Myrtle “Irene” (Basil) Holley, Ernest Angel, Dorothy Perkins, Barbara (Dan) Chambers, Shirley (Lyn) Angel, Lucy Bray, Kenneth Bray, Audrey (Lowen Clince) Saunder, Rosemary Ritchie, Linda Caldwell Angel, James M. Jeffers.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Sam Brown and Larry Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
