Judy Lyn (Barnett) Canode

Judy Lyn Canode, 71, of Coshocton, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Arlington Nursing Home in Newark. She was born in Akron, OH on August 7, 1953 to the late Wilbur Dale and Marilyn (Stout) Barnett.

Judy graduated from North High School in Akron, OH in 1971 and went on to nursing school, where she obtained her LPN. She has worked as a nurse for 23 years, most recently at Grant Medical Center. In Judy’s spare time she enjoyed watching travel shows, bird watching, going fishing, listening to music, singing, and shooting guns.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert “Bob” Walter Canode; daughter Amanda (Christopher) Adams of Etna, OH; stepson Robert “Shawn” Canode of Orrville; sister Sally Barnett; brother Tom Barnett; grandchildren Steven Osborne, Carly, Clarese, and Ckaden West; two great grandchildren Luther and Liam; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Richard “Rick” Barnett and niece Jennifer.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St. Coshocton, OH 43812 on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm with funeral services beginning at 6:00pm with Pastor Mark Kreemer officiating.

Memorial contributions can be directed towards Make a Wish Foundation or Hopewell Industries; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
