Julie Mills

Julie Mills, age 54, of Orrville passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 after fighting a rare lung disease at Cleveland Clinic. She was born on September 25, 1969 in Coshocton to the late Donald Dixon and Margaret (Lapp) Dixon, who survives. She started her career as a beautician and continued to do her families hair. She then obtained her Associates Degree and was currently working at Bekaert in sales and customer service. On October 14, 1995, she married Michael Mills, who survives. She was very involved in her community in Orrville and was active in the Orrville Community Theatre and Orrville Band Parents. Her greatest love was raising her son and being involved in all of his activities. She was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.

Along with her mother and husband, she is survived by her son, Evan Mills; siblings, Pam (Brent) Hart of Westerville, Greg (Shari) Dixon of Muncie and Kathryn Dixon of Columbus; nieces and nephews, Jen (Dan) Posani, Alli (Stephen) Lisko, Hillary (Jeff) Harnasch and HM (Kristy Couch) Burkett as well as 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 12pm to 2pm. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 2pm with Pastor Steve Young officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made towards Evan’s college fund. Checks can be made out to Michael Mills in care of Evan’s College Fund.
