June Wolfe

November 9, 1923 — January 16, 2016

June E. Wolfe, 92, passed peacefully from this life into the next with her family by her side on January 16, 2016. She was born in Coshocton, Ohio, on November 9, 1923, the daughter of the late Vearl C. and Lula M. (Wills) Parks.

June was a 1941 graduate of Coshocton High School. On October 11, 1941, she married Francis D. Wolfe, her husband of 60 years, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2002.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two infant children, one sister and one brother.

June is survived by three daughters: Rebecca (Gary) Nelson of Pataskala, Ohio, Susan Cotterman of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and the Reverend Patricia Moats of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; six grandchildren: Cara Cotterman, Upper Arlington, Nikki Pappas, Columbus, Dr. Nathan (Ellen) Cotterman, Ottawa Hills, Ohio, Lyndi (Doug) Buckley, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania,  Aaron Moats, Coral Gables, Florida, and Bethany Nelson, Columbus; nine great-grandchildren: Riley Cotterman, Zoe and Phoebe Pappas, Aidan, Elliot, and Lincoln Buckley, and Ethan, Lexi, and Lyndi Cotterman; one sister, Carol (Charles) Barcus, and many nieces and nephews.

June was a life-long member of Central Christian Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. During her life she was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She loved spending time with her family, was an avid and accomplished bowler, and enjoyed playing Euchre and Bingo with her family and friends.

A service of Witness to the Resurrection and Celebration of June’s life will be held at Miller Funeral Home on Saturday, January 23rd, at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Phillip H. Hunt officiating. Interment will be at South Lawn Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
