Kenneth Paul Scheetz

December 10, 1935 — February 3, 2024

Kenneth P. Scheetz, 88, of Coshocton passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Coshocton Springs Health and Rehabilitation.  He was born in Coshocton, OH on December 10, 1935 to the late Michael and Lena (Miller) Scheetz. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller.

Kenneth graduated from Fresno High School in 1954 and served in the United States Air Force.  Following his time in the military, he began working in the maintenance department at General Electric, where he retired after 33 Years. He was also a member of the Coshocton American Legion and the Coshocton VFW. He served as County Commissioner for four years. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and watching TV, especially the news. He had a kind heart and was generous to those around him. He was also funny, showing his humor up until his last days.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Janet (Parks) Scheetz; children, Lisa (Scot) Sargel of Westerville, Scott Kestler of Cooperdale, and Renee (David) Prince of Coshocton; grandchildren, Ashley Kestler, Hannah Sargel, Karley Abel, Miranda Sargel, Katy Sargel, and Kelsey Abel; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Thomas) Moore; and brother, Jimmy (Lisa) Scheetz.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Frederick Scheetz, Ruth Shank, and Donna Scheetz.

Per Kenneth’s wishes, there will be no service at this time and cremation will take place. The Miller Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family. Memorial contributions can be directed towards the Coshocton County Library System.
