Life Legacy
Laura Lee Walters, 66 of Coshocton passed away at the Morrison House Hospice on Monday January 17, 2011. Laura was born to the late Eldon and Eva M. (Carnes) Hoops in Cleveland on October 5, 1944. She retired from Pretty Products after 37 years of service, after retirement she enjoyed working at Buehlers and spending time at the V.F.W.. Laura loved her grandchildren, gardening, reading and her cats, especially Max. She is survived by her husband Gene P. Walters; children Jeff (Jennifer) Criswell of Newcomerstown, Tammy (Sean) Gross, John Paul (Angie) Walters, Michael Walters and Michelle (Norm) Elya all of Coshocton; sisters JoAnn (Jim) Wiandt of Coshocton, Patricia Knoff of Coshocton, Peggy Rice of Warsaw and Carolyn (Larry) Emerson of Coshocton; one twin brother Lewis (Willie) Hoops of Lompoc, CA; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death her sister Sonja Scott and brother in law Curtis Knoff. In memory of a loving wife to her husband and devoted mother who cared for her son and daughter, friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday January 20, 2011 from 5-7 PM where funeral services will begin at 7:00 PM with Pastor Dairel Kaiser officiating. Per Laura's wishes, cremation will take place after the funeral services. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
