Lew Craigo

Lew Craigo, 82, of West Lafayette passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in Columbus surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Newcomerstown, Ohio on January 13, 1939 to the late Russell and Rosella (Parks) Craigo.

Lew was a 1958 graduate of West Lafayette High School and worked for Clow for many years, construction, and retired from Columbus Gas Transmission. He was a very hard worker. He enjoyed tinkering with old cars and Chevy trucks, watching NASCAR, Ohio sports, and he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren in the various sports they were involved in.  He loved his grandchildren and children very much and was such a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather; he will be greatly missed.

Lew attended the Isleta United Methodist Church and was a member of the Coshocton Eagles, Coshocton Moose, and the Newcomerstown Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary (Elliott) Craigo; children Louie (Shelly) Craigo of West Lafayette, Pam (Dan) Raber of Fresno, and Scott (Keena) Craigo of West Lafayette; grandchildren Austin and Whitney Raber, Blake Craigo, and Haydan and Kyndal Craigo; and nephew Bill (JoAnn) Craigo; brother and sister-in-law Dave and Debbie Elliott.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Mable Shaw, Raymond, Eugene, Tommy, and Betty Craigo.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Wednesday October 27, 2021 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.

Memorial contributions can be directed towards the Isleta United Methodist Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
