Life Legacy
Lillian Chaney, 75 of Blissfield, passed away at her home on Wednesday September 5, 2012. Lillian was born to the late Earl and Alma (Fry) Young in Layland, Ohio on July 9, 1937. She attended Killbuck High School, retired from Rice-Chadwick in Killbuck and was a member of the Blissfield United Methodist Church. Lillian loved going on bus trips and enjoyed her annual visits going to Myrtle Beach with her family, whom she loved so dearly. She is survived by her husband Omar K. Chaney whom she married December 31, 1953; children Karen (Jerry) Bevins, Brenda Bush and Robin (Norma) Chaney all of Coshocton, David (Stacy Hager) Chaney of Blissfield and Mary (Greg) Phillips of Millersburg; two sisters Edna (Wayne) Barnes of New Philadelphia and Marilyn (Cal) Ginther of Wooster; seven grandchildren Jeremy (Brooke) McFarland, Karla Bevins, Stefani Bush, Paige Howard, Robb Bush, Brittany Phillips and Ashly Phillips; great grandchildren Brenna Udder, Zen Howard, Donovan McFarland, Joriann Mowery and soon to arrive Braxton McFarland; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Douglas Chaney; sister Francis Young; brother Myron "Moose" Young and son in law Dale Bush. Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Sunday September 9, 2012 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 4:00 PM with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Per Lillian's wishes, a cremation will take place after the funeral service with burial of her cremated remains to take place in Blissfield Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to New Life Ministries, Food Pantry Program, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
