Lisa Clark

Lisa Clark, 62, of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Medical University Hospitals in South Carolina after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 13, 1959 to the late Dr. Robert Blake Clark and Virginia (Byrd) Clark. She was a graduate of Ohio University having obtained her bachelors in Art Education. She taught art at Coshocton and River View Schools until moving to South Carolina where she taught at various schools there as well. Lisa enjoyed teaching Art to her students and loved seeing the progress they made. She enjoyed painting, gardening, traveling with friends and family, spending time outside with nature, and endless days at the beach.

After retiring she volunteered with Mobile Meals, walking neighborhood dogs and spending time with family as much as possible.

She is survived by her siblings, Gordon (Jennifer) Clark of Monroe, NC. Bobby Clark of Coshocton, Jennifer (Stephen) Trotta of Athens, Oh, Greg (Beth) Clark of Coshocton, Oh and William (Kizzi) Clark of Athens; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1pm with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.
