Lewis "Kevin" Keirns, age 48, passed away on July 14, 2018, due to complications from open heart surgery.
Kevin was born in Coshocton, Ohio on October 15, 1969 to Lewis “Louie” Keirns and Judith (Parry) Keirns.
After graduating from Athens High School in 1988, he joined the United States Navy and served on the USS Alexander Hamilton. He was currently working at MFM Building Products. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family, motorcycles, camping and working outside landscaping and gardening.
Kevin met his wife, Andrea on March 19, 2010 and they have been inseparable ever since. They were married on December 14, 2013 at the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg, Ohio. In September of 2014, Kevin met his greatest love of all, their daughter, Kendle Wynn Keirns. He is also survived by his mother Judith A. “Judy” Keirns of Coshocton; two brothers Tim (Darcie) Keirns and Steve (Joy) Keirns both of Coshocton; fathers and mothers in law John (Marian) Horsfall of Port Washington and Bill (Brenda Hayes) Lyons; two nephews Matt (Lisa) Wright and Jonathon (Sarah) Wright; niece Lily Lyons; several great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Lewis “Louie” Keirns.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday July 19, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM where funeral services for Kevin will begin at 7:00 PM with Pastor Karen Biggerstaff officiating. Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will also be performing military honors at the funeral home.
Per Kevin’s wishes, a cremation will take place after the funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Coshocton County Animal Shelter, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
