Loretta May Mckee

Loretta May (Barker) (Darding) McKee, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Community Hospice Truman House. She was born on June 2, 1955 in Coshocton to the late James Willard Barker and Thelma Jean (Gardner) (Barker) Whetstone.

Loretta graduated from Ridgewood High School with her GED in 1988 and retired from Walmart in Coshocton in 2017. She loved going to the beach, growing flowers, watching the hummingbirds, and spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle D. (Darding) Smith and son, Justin McKee; grandchildren, Samantha Jean Smith, Nathanial Ray Smith, Kylee McKee and Analoha Wilkerson; great-grandchildren Ava Marie Woody, Athena Elizabeth Rose Smith, Nathanial Ray Smith Jr.; sisters, Mildred (Ron) Casterline, Mary Ellen Anderson and Patricia Villagomez; sister-in-law, Joyce Barker as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Loretta is preceded in death by her husband Robin McKee who passed away in 2021; brother James Alvertis Barker; sisters Anna Jean Eaches, and Thelma Diane Wilson.

Per Loretta’s wishes, she will be cremated and no services will take place. Memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
