Lynne Beatrice Hill

October 19, 1938 — August 15, 2017

Lynne Beatrice (Mizer) Hill, 78, of West Lafayette passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home.  She was born in Bakersville, Ohio on October 19, 1938 to the late M. Dennis and Rosemary (Wise) Mizer.

She graduated from West Lafayette High School in 1955 and worked at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital for 20 years before retiring. She is a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church, Chancel Choir, and played the hand bells. She was an avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching Ohio State, Cleveland Indians and Browns but most of all she loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports.  She also enjoyed family picnics, traveling, playing hausey, crocheting, photography, indoor and outdoor drum line competition and following the Ridgewood Marching Band.

Lynne is survived by her children Linda (Kenneth) Cash of Zanesville, G. Michael (Deb) Hill, Debbie Simmons, and Denise (Chad) Gallagher all of West Lafayette; grandchildren Jennifer, James, and Mathew (Katie) Cash all of Zanesville, Ryan (Nikki) Hill of Culpeper, VA, Ben (Liz) Hill of Warrenton, VA, Erinn Simmons of West Lafayette, Jordan Gallagher of West Lafayette, and Ryan (Kayla) Miller of West Lafayette; six great grandchildren; niece  Julie (Scott) Anderson; nephew Jeff (Cindy) Mizer; and great nieces and a great nephew.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Michael D. Mizer, nephew James Mizer, and step grandson Todd Miller.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 11:00am – 1:00pm where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm with Minister Nikki Sample Hill officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed to the West Lafayette United Methodist Church and Community Hospice of Coshocton, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
