Mabel J. Hillegas, 94, of West Lafayette, Ohio formerly of East Lake, Ohio passed away at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home, West Lafayette on Friday January 16, 2015.
Mabel was born in Coshocton, Ohio on October 6, 1920 to the late Luther and Grace (Stocker) Marlatt.
Mabel is survived by her daughter Nancy (Bill) Somerville of West Lafayette; a sister in law Mary Ann Marlatt of Newcomerstown, Ohio; a special adopted daughter Kathy Cattell of Mentor, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James J. Hillegas who she married on December 24, 1941, James passed away on November 14, 1971; three brothers Wilber, Luther and Joe Marlatt; sister Edith Marlatt; sister in law Fay Hillegas.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio on Sunday January 18, 2015 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 AM with Lloyd Tenney officiating.
Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Willoughby City Cemetery, Willoughby, Ohio.
