Marjorie J (Groff) Groff

Marjorie J. “Marge” Groff, 87, of Coshocton passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown.

Marjorie was born in Newcomerstown on May 12, 1936, to the late Lawrence Samuel and Beatrice Susan (Schweitzer) Groff.

Marge graduated from Newcomerstown High School in the class of 1953 and retired from Stone Container in Coshocton as administrative assistant for the general manager and personnel manager.  After retirement, Marge was a correspondent for the Coshocton Tribune.  She attended the Coshocton Alliance Church, enjoyed taking photos, enjoyed reading and was active with River View Schools’ after school reading program for students.

Marjorie is survived by her brother Charles “Chuck” (Suzie) Groff of Newcomerstown; nieces and nephew Beth (Scott) Ballentine, Rob (April Sandifer) Groff, Michelle (Bob) Pell, and Amy (Andy) Bosson; and several great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Audrey (Paul) Hanni, and brother Larry (Edith) Groff.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday April 25, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM where a funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM Noon with Pastor Chris Miletti officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant View Church Cemetery, Newcomerstown.
