Marjorie Lessig

Marjorie E. Lessig passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Altercare of Coshocton. Marge was born on March 25, 1940 to the late Harvey and Alice Gatchel in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She graduated from Salem High School and Riverside White Cross School of Nursing. She was a dedicated Hospice volunteer for 30 years and was an active and faithful member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Coshocton. Marge loved to watch sports on TV especially The Buckeyes.

Survivors are her brother, James Gatchell and sister, Margaret Schertzer, both of Upper Sandusky. Also surviving is her step-daughter, Marcia (Nick) Schmitt to whom she was very grateful, her grandchildren, Alexandra (Geoffrey) Schmitt of NH, Sam (Ann) Schmitt and great grandson, Teddy of NC.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, John French and Don Lessig, along with her children, Keith and Tonya French; brother, Robert Gatchell and sister, Carolyn Wyff.

Calling hours will be held Saturday February 1, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1500 Pleasant Valley Drive Coshocton, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Bryan Kittner officiating. All are welcome to attend a luncheon at the church following the service.
