Marjorie (Art) Mallett

June 8, 1940 — February 7, 2023

Marjorie “Margie” Mallett, 82, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Walnut Hills Retirement Community. She was born in Coshocton County on June 8, 1940 to the late Sherman and Rachel (Loos) Art.

She graduated from Plainfield High School in 1958. Margie had worked at Shaw Barton, Buehler’s and Bakers. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Margie loved crafts, bingo, being with friends, camping, and traveling with her husband, Norval “Bud” Mallett; he passed away November 22, 1998. Margie and Bud married January 20, 1962, together they had two children, Rhonda J. Reynolds, who passed away on December 22, 2008 and Robert “Bobby” E. Mallett who passed away March 3, 1987.

Margie will be missed by her friend Cheryl Gano; special niece, Trish and her family; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jim and Nola Mallett; and Tyler Wilson, who she helped raise; and many cousins.

Along with her parents, husband, and children, she is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Wheeler.

Graveside services will be held at West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown on Friday February 10, 2023 at 11:00am with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating.
