Martha "Marty" Raymer

Biography

Martha (Marty) Kirkpatrick Raymer passed away on October 4, 2012 at Autumn Extended Care Unit, Coshocton, Ohio.

Marty was born on May 2, 1925, the daughter of Robert P. and Mary B. (Richards) Kirkpatrick. She was a graduate of Coshocton High School, Class of 1943, and a graduate of Mount Carmel School of Nursing, Columbus, Ohio. She was employed as an office nurse by Dr. Walter A. Campbell and later was in charge of Coshocton County Memorial Hospital's pharmacy where she worked until she retired in 1972.

On September 18, 1948 she married Russell T. Raymer, Jr. Who preceded her in death on October 20, 1976. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Mary Gwendolyn Felver who passed away on March 13, 1994.

She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Marty is survived by a daughter Susan Christine Darr and a son Stephen Kirk (Denise Fink) Raymer both of Coshocton; granddaughter Mandy C. (Brent) Ramsey of Coshocton; three great-grandchildren, Rachel, Jake and Luke Ramsey of Coshocton; two special nieces Mary (David) Woodmansee and Susan (William) Gill both of Coshocton; nephew James K. (Maureen) Felver and family of Mason, Michigan; great nephew William Woodmansee of Coshocton; great niece Mary Ellen (Kenneth) Capozzi of Naugatuck, Connecticut; great great nephew Hunter Capozzi of Naugatuck, Connecticut.

Graveside funeral services will be held in South Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bryan Kittner officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Coshocton Friends of the Animal Shelter, 504 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
