Mary L Plants

Mary L. Plants, age 83, of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Signature Health Care. She was born on October 23, 1938, in Coshocton, to the late Ralph and Ethel (Dickerson) Wright. On February 26, 1956, she married Wayne Plants, who passed in 2019. Mary was a stay-at-home mother, taking care of her children and some of the neighborhood children as well. She enjoyed gardening and canning what she produced in her garden. She crocheted and loved to travel and vacation. She also had a good sense a humor that will be missed.

She is survived by her children, Pauline (Wade) Corbett of MN, Sandra (Harvey) Watson of Gnadenhutten, Wayne (Hazel) Plants Jr. of Newcomerstown, and Janet (Bill Andrews) Walker of Newcomerstown, and Tracey (John) Jones of Coshocton; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and friends, Barb Masters, and Barb Huffman and her care takers, Ivana Allen and Bre Green.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, John Plants and siblings, Glen Huffman, Everett Huffman, Myrtle Urey, and Jackie Wright.

Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm and an hour before the service. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11am with Pastor Jim Gross and Pastor Jim Reed officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown.
