Mary Ruth (Gress) Weidger

Mary R. Weidger, 77, of Coshocton passed away at OSU Wexner Medical Center on Thursday September 13, 2018 after a brief illness.

Mary was born in Bens Run, WV on April 12, 1941 to the late Raymond and Ruth (Schroyer) Gress.

Mary and her husband Jim owned and operated JW’s Electronics together for 47 years.  Mary was most recently working at Rite Aid in Coshocton for the past 8 years.

She loved everyone, especially her grandchildren, spending time with her family, cooking, planting flowers, was a hard worker always putting others before herself.  Mary also enjoyed watching the Golden Girls, Two and Half Men and Fox News.

Mary is survived by her husband Jim D. Weidger whom she has been married to for 56 years; two children Michael J. Weidger of Cincinnati and Linda Joy Weidger of Coshocton; four grandchildren; a brother Russell (Marilyn) Gress of West Lafayette; daughter in law Billie J. Weidger of Zanesville; long time friend Cheryl Fortune of West Lafayette; several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Bobby J. Weidger; two brothers Raymond and Roland Gress.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday September 19, 2018 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM Noon with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.  Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Coshocton County Animal Shelter, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
