Marybelle Gowins

Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville, OH. She was born January 14, 1934 in Coshocton a daughter of the late Kenneth Congdon and Ruth Bible Gilgannon.

Marybelle was a 1951 graduate of the Coshocton High School. She was a member of the Coshocton Order of the Eastern Star #157, Women of the Moose Chapter #357, Coshocton VFW Post #1330 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Coshocton #761. Marybelle was a waitress at the former Mary & Harold's Restaurant and the Warehouse Restaurant. She was a dispatcher for the former Coshocton City Police Department. She was also a realtor for the Coshocton Realtors. She was an avid golfer.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Frank T. Gowins, whom she married May 7, 1955 and passed away May 28, 1974 and a sister Margaret Morris.

Marybelle is survived by a companion of 19 years Archie March of Coshocton, a son Michael (Mindy) Gowins of Coshocton; a daughter Tracey (Stephan) Wiseman of Coshocton; Grandchildren Cody and Caitlin Gowins both of Coshocton and Jessica (Chad) Orecchio of New Concord, OH; great-grandchildren Bo and Jayden Orecchio; a sister Betty (Tom) Fry of Coshocton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Private services were observed. Burial was held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens , with Pastor Sharon Kirch officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Genesis Hospice Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701.
