Life Legacy
Walter Max Nelson, 84, of Coshocton, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville on Wednesday January 4, 2012. Max was born in West Lafayette on August 26, 1927 to the late Walter and Ethel (Davis) Nelson. He retired from Ansel Edmont in Coshocton in 1983 after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Canton Silent Club and Church of Christ in Coshocton. Max also enjoyed woodworking, fishing and bowling. He is survived by his wife Marilyn L. (Crum) Nelson; children M. Edward (Laurie) Nelson and Kevin (Vicki) Nelson both of Coshocton and Debra Nelson of Newcomerstown; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; brother Dale Nelson of Coshocton; two sisters Nadine (Malcolm) Evans of IN and Lois (Jake) Lautenschleger of Baltic; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death a brother Earl; two sisters Imogene Ankrum and Harriett Turner. Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Saturday from 11-1 PM where funeral services will begin at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed Max's family to help defray funeral expenses, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
