Michael A Cordes

Michael A. Cordes, 32, of Boston Massachusetts, formerly of West Lafayette passed away in Boston on Tuesday February 14, 2012. Mike was born in Columbus on December 4, 1979 to Thomas E. and Linda S. Cordes. He graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1999 and Franklin University in Columbus with a Bachelors degree. Mike was very active in Big Brothers Big Sisters in Boston, Pelontonia Cancer Ride Team Speranza in Columbus, Capital Area Humane Society and the Minnapolis Twin Cities Marathon. Mike is survived by his parents Tom and Linda Cordes of West Lafayette; brother Matt Cordes of Columbus; sister Renee Engle of Columbus and grandmother Ann (Jerry) Postle of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph Wheeler, William and Marcille Cordes. Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Sunday February 19, 2012 from 2-6 PM. A funeral service for Mike will be held at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 121 S. College St., Newcomerstown on Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kenneth Hacker and Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Interment will follow in West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown.
