Nancy L (Leech) Lapp

Nancy L. Lapp – beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend of many - died on February 3, 2023, at the age of 79 in Coshocton, Ohio. She was born on May 29, 1943, daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Smith) Leech.

Nancy was kind, generous, compassionate, and fiercely independent.  She loved her family dearly and touched the lives of many many people in her communities.

Scarlet and gray flowed through her veins, and she was an avid Buckeye football fan who spent a lifetime of Saturdays in the Shoe or watching the games on TV. Nancy loved Christmas stockings and would shop all year to fill them, often forgetting what she had along the way. She loved sunshine and sand and beaches and sitting on the deck of their condo in Florida to watch sunrise and sunset.

She chose to “put her money in memories,” and shared many girls trips with her bicoastal daughters traveling to NYC, Chicago, Florida, London, Puerto Rico, Memphis, New Orleans, and Austin.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Dr. Andrew Klaus, daughters Wendi Freeman (Bill Gary) and Alycia Freeman (Dave Klaus), sisters Alice Jacobs (Errol) and Marilyn (Stan), grandchildren Anya and Enzo Klaus, bonus children Jennifer Klaus (Mike Falkenhain) and Kevin Klaus, and bonus grandchildren Mya and Theo Falkenhain.

She will truly be missed by all she left behind. Nancy was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

Calling hours will be held on February 10, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio.  Services will be held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1500 Pleasant Valley Drive, Coshocton on February 11, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. An online memorial can be located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com
