Norman Tennis Pyles, of Warsaw passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at SKLD of New Lexington. He was born on March 29, 1933 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Harvey Wesley Pyles and Alta Meta (Kieffer) Pyles.
He served honorably in the Unites States Airforce from 1952 to 1956 and earned several citations. Norman was very proud of his military service. He was also a 32nd Degree Master Mason, and belonged to several organizations including the VFW and American Legion. Norman retired from what was Good Year Aircraft-Aerospace in April 1995 with 28 years in Akron, Ohio.
He is survived by his nephew, Joseph Kammer and family of Tallmadge, OH; and niece Lisa Grenus of Akron, OH.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth A. Pyles of Akron.
Norman was a very special, loving, caring, and generous person. He was always willing to help others, even strangers.
Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 10:00am – 11:00am with funeral services beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery where the Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing military honors.
Due to Covid-19, we are requesting visitors coming to the funeral home wear their own face masks and we will be limiting the number of attendees inside the building.
