Otto Scott, age 96 of Coshocton passed away on February 19, 2025 at Roscoe Gardens. He was born on November 8, 1928 in Maybeury, West Virginia to the late Saunders and Cassie (Sheffield) Scott. After graduation, Otto joined the service and went to the front lines of the Korean War. When he returned state side, he went to work at Buckeye Motors of Coshocton and Ohio Fabricators, where he worked until retirement. On May 20, 1962, he married Lucille (Dansby) Scott, who passed away in 1992. Otto was a well put together, honest man. He had close friendships that meant a lot to him.
Otto is survived by his best friend, William "Lee" Russell; brother, Reginald "Reggie" Scott of Colorado; daughter-in-law, Kay Scott; grandchildren, Lelani LaMaat and Amanda Rounsaville; Nieces, Gwendolyn Eggleston, Connie Mitchell, Sobenia Scales and Barbara Ann "Redd" Lewis; special friends, Alana Farrell and Cinda Matthews. He has many nieces, nephews and cousins between the families of, Williams, Sheffields, Taylor and Dansby families.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille, son Edgar Scott, PhD, and beloved cousin Lula Williams.
Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 1pm to 2pm. The funeral service will begin at 2pm with Pastor Lewis Woicinski officiating. The Coshocton County Veteran Honor Guard will perform military honors at 2pm.
