Randall Lawrence “Andy” Gindler, 38, of Coshocton, Ohio, formerly of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018. Andy was born in Austin, Texas on August 3, 1979 to Bruce and Lisa (Farek) Gindler. He married Heather R. Bush on January 26, 2016.
Andy attended the University of Texas and was currently working as a B.O.P Testing Supervisor in the Oil and Gas Industry. He was a devoted fan of the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, San Antonio Spurs and all of Cooper’s sporting activities. Andy never lost his Texan roots or love of anything Texas, including refusing to change his Texas driver’s license after moving to Ohio, but he did learn to appreciate Ohio State athletics, the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians. Andy loved to take his son Cooper hunting at the family ranch and to Cavalier and Indians games. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with his dad, family beach trips and working cattle. He delighted in ordering off the menu and Andy was an excellent cook himself. When he was back home in Gonzales he patronized his favorite hot spots, Sonic, Golden Chick, Luling City Market and he loved to consume a great amount of Blue Bell Ice Cream. He was an avid gardener like his grandfather Gindler and grandmother Farek but held a sincere distaste for yard work. At an early age he learned to appreciate fine things and loved to shop not only for himself, but for those he loved. He enjoyed fireworks and singing all genres of songs to his beautiful wife Heather.
Family has always been the greatest pleasantry in life for Andy. He was a momma’s boy himself and Andy loved to shop, travel, enjoy fine dining with his mom. Andy loved to cook for his family and contend that his way of cooking was a better way. His folks were proud of the man he had become. His mother will always treasure the memory of Andy holding his infant daughter in the delivery room for the very first time with incalculable love pouring from his being at the sight and touch of his beautiful baby girl. Andy cherished having a family of his own and the responsibility of being a dad. Cooper and Carli Ann, the latter of the two named after his mom and aunt Carol, were his greatest joy along with his wife Heather. He lived to see their smiles, hear their laughter and feel their love. Carli Ann loved to cuddle and fall comfortably asleep resting on her daddy’s chest and wrapped in his strong arms. She loved helping her daddy work in the garden and assisting in watering their plantings. Andy loved to play basketball in the driveway with Cooper and Carli Ann and hear his “baby” shriek joyfully, “My daddy” “My daddy” as she ran to him upon his return home from work lifting his heart to heights of love that only the love of a daddy’s girl can achieve. Andy looked forward to enlarging his family because of the abundance of love within their young family unit. Andy wasn’t just a father, Andy was a dad and daddy with a wealth of forever love for his precious family.
He is survived by his loving wife Heather R. (Bush) Gindler, daughter, Carli Ann Gindler; son, Cooper George all of Coshocton, OH, parents, Bruce and Lisa Gindler of Gonzales, TX, brother and sister-in-law, Brent and Kayla Gindler of Gonzales, TX, grandparents Marian “G” Gindler of Gonzales and Eldon “Pops” Farek of Gonzales; aunts and uncles Carol Farek (Who was the second mother to both Andy and Heather) of Gonzales, TX, Missy (Lee) Elmore of Dallas, TX and Jack (Maureen “Mo”) Gindler of Austin, TX; nephew Briggs Avery Gindler; father and mother-in- law Dave and Ruth Bush of Coshocton, OH and brother-in-law, Zach Bush of Coshocton, OH.
