Raymond Edward Shearrow, 72, of West Lafayette passed away at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home in West Lafayette on Thursday December 24, 2015.
Ray was born in Washington, DC on December 10, 1943 to the late Boyton E. and Catherine (Dohoney) Shearrow.
He graduated from West Lafayette High School, worked in the automotive industry for over 35 years and owned and operated Ray’s Starter and Alternator Shop in West Lafayette. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.
Ray is survived by his wife Virginia K. (Belt) Shearrow; a son Phillip R. Shearrow of West Lafayette; a daughter Dawn S. (Steffen) Cameron of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren Benjamin, Brianna, Blake and Elizabeth Cameron; one sister Ruth E. (Kenny) Brenneman of West Lafayette; numerous nieces and nephews and his special canine companion Josie.
A memorial service for Ray will be held at the Living Faith Church of the Nazarene, 21066 SR 751, West Lafayette on Wednesday December 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jim Lillo officiating.
