Life Legacy
Richard L. "Dick" Hammond, 72, of West Lafayette, Ohio passed away on Friday May 11, 2012. Dick was born in Guernesy County on April 5, 1940 to the late Russel A. and Winifred H. Hammond. He was a truck driver for General Electric, member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge and an avid motorcyclist. Dick also enjoyed Flea Markets and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Raine D.(Sharier) Hammond who he married on May 6, 1978; children Randall J. (Margaret) Hammond of West Lafayette, Robin J. (John) Sharier of Coshocton, R. Joe Hammond of West Lafayette, Samalia J. (Brad) Casey of Coshocton and Jennifer L.(Abdel Rahman) Albalakousy of Coshocton; brothers William (Linda) Hammond of Cambridge, John (Jeanie) Hammond of Coshocton and Edgar (Ellen) Hammond of Zanesville; 22 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons Russell Jay Hammond and Richard "Richie" Hammond; a sister Noreen Gable and great grandchild Baily Ann. Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday May 15, 2012 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM with Lloyd Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County/Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
