Richard Hampton

Richard Allen Hampton, 73, of Nashport passed away Sunday August 10, 2014, at Heath Nursing Care Center.
He was born in West Lafayette, Ohio, on January, 8, 1941, to the late William Ray and Laura Faye (Carr) Hampton.
Richard graduated from West Lafayette High School and attended Northern University before serving in the Air Force from 1959 – 1963. He then worked at Peabody Coal for 23 years before retiring. Richard was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Aladdin Temple Shrine of West Lafayette.
He is survived by his wife Lita (Hartsough) Hampton of Nashport; sons Christopher Allen Hampton (Michele) and Kevin Luther Hampton both of Newark; daughter Mary Kathleen Ghiloni (William) of Colorado; grandchildren Luke Hampton, Drew Hampton, Zachary Hampton, Madison Hampton, and Gino Ghiloni.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette where Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will be performing military honors.
