Richard "Dick" Allen Sycks

December 12, 1931 — July 25, 2023

Richard “Dick” Allen Sycks, 91, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at his home. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio on December 12, 1931 to the late Russell and Leona (Booth) Sycks.

Dick served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, he had previously worked for CLOW and retired from Steel Ceilings. After retirement he was the owner/operator of Acoustafab.  He attended the Presbyterian Church in Coshocton and was a member the Coshocton Elks Lodge and the VFW. Dick enjoyed golfing, traveling to the Outer Banks and communicating with the horses in Holmes County.

Dick is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey (Janice) Sycks of Coshocton and David (Linda) Sycks of Bluffton, Ohio; six grandchildren Joel, Kimberly, Lukas, Jane, Emily, and Megan,

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Patterson) Sycks, who passed away in 2012; and sister Beverly Sycks, who passed in 2022.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Mark Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery where the Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing military honors.
