Robert E. Dickerson Jr, 64, of West Carlisle, passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Sunday November 20, 2011. Robert was born in West Carlisle on June 11, 1947 to Robert and Grace (Miller) Dickerson Sr. He served in the Army in Korea during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a mechanic for Altra Chevrolet, was a truck driver for Coshocton Trucking, an auxiliary Sheriff Deputy for 20 years, but his favorite "job" was crew chief/driver for "Burning Money" pulling team. He was also an avid outdoorsman, ATV rider and story teller; he will be missed by both family and friends. Robert was greatly loved by his wife of 42 years Jacqueline (Hall) Dickerson; children Tammy (Scott) Carpenter of Crooksville and Rob (Julie) Dickerson of West Carlisle; grandchildren Brodey, Kinsey, Karley and Ian were his world; father Robert Dickerson Sr. of West Carlisle; sisters Bobbi (Max) Hughes of Warsaw, Linda (Jim) Bradford of West Carlisle; brother Lowell (Darlene) Dickerson of Coshocton; several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his mother Grace Dickerson. Per Robert's wishes a cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
