Robert "Bob" M Carpenter

October 20, 1933 — March 29, 2017

Robert M. “Bob” Carpenter, 83 of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton Regional Medical Center on Wednesday March 29, 2017.

Bob was born in Oxford Township in “Stringtown” on October 20, 1933 to the late Clarence E. and Mattie A. (Myers) Carpenter.

He attended Roscoe and Coshocton Schools and was a United States Air Force Veteran having served from 1949-1953.  Bob also retired from the Ohio National Guard after twenty years of service.  Bob owned and operated Carpenter Electric Company from 1960-1968 and retired from Electricians Union Local I.B.E.W.  He was a life member of the AMVETS post #36, Coshocton Elks Lodge #376, American Legion Post #65.

Bob and his loving wife Patricia spent many winters together in Mt. Dora, Florida where Bob was a member of the Mt. Dora Golf Association.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife Patricia C. (Arnold) Carpenter whom he married May 8, 1953; three children Christi L. (Ed) Gallagher of Coshocton, Rick (Amy) Carpenter of Newark and Wendi Lahmon of Mt. Vernon; fourteen grandchildren Haley (Mihir Torsekar) Gallagher, Emilie Gallagher, Jenny (David) Gallagher Blom, Noah (Jo-Ann) Gallagher, Hannah (Theis) Gallagher Bufkin, Patience (Steven Frankland) Gallagher, Robert Carpenter, Kate Carpenter, Ryan Kelling, Levi (Toni) Kelling, Walt Kelling, Nathanael Kelling, Matthew (Hannah) Kelling and Seth Kelling; twenty-one great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Jack E. Carpenter and son in law Timothy Lahmon.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday April 7, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM where a memorial service for Bob will start at 12:00 PM with Ed Gallagher officiating and Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will be performing military honors.

The Coshocton Elks Lodge will also be having an Elks service that will start at 11:45 AM.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Coshocton County Veterans Council, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
