Robert “Buck” Lee Williamson, 89, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021. He was born in Coshocton on September 30, 1931 to the late Ralph and Blanche (Guthrie) Williamson.
As a young man he enjoyed training and showing horses and working with his dad and Hap Powelson doing fairs and carnivals, where he earned enough money to pay cash for his first new car in 1947, a Crown Victorian, which was the first of many.
In February 1953, he answered the call of duty with the 5th armored division of the United States Army. As he was crossing the Atlantic Ocean the war ended, so he spent the rest of his time in Germany; a country that he admired and enjoyed his time in.
He retired from Ohio Fabrication and was a member of the Coshocton AMVETS and the VFW.
Robert is survived by his children Darren (Belinda) Williamson of Coshocton and Debbie (Steve) Phillips of Hanover; four grandchildren Matt (Casey) Hardy, Cody Mikesell, Nick (Olivia) Phillips, and Miles Williamson; four great grandchildren Presley, Hampton, Dempsey and Adler Hardy; former wife and friend, Ellen (Wolford) Williamson.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Lawanda Unger.
The family would like to thank the Juanita Potts Family Home and Altercare of Coshocton for their kindness and care during this difficult time.
Graveside services will be held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 1:30pm with Pastor Mike Jansen officiating.
