Life Legacy
Roger Keith "Doc" Pepper, 73, of Conesville, passed away at his home after a brief illness on December 16, 2012. Roger was born to the late Donald P. Pepper and Leora (Norris) Pepper Arbaugh on July 28, 1939.
He was a 1959 graduate of Conesville High School and was employed by Clow Water Systems. He later retired from AEP Conesville after 28 years of service. Roger was a 55 year member of the Conesville Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the Coshocton County Agricultural Society, the Masonic Lodge #103 of Dresden and the Conesville United Methodist Church.
Roger cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, the apples of his eye. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing and the many hours spent in the Agricultural Hall and Dairy Barn and the fairgrounds.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Shirley J. (Whiteus) Pepper; a son Donald (Julie) Pepper of Coshocton; two daughters Janell (Alex) Pfaff of Marietta and Joni (Steve) Barr of Dresden; six grandchildren Zane, Bryce and Reas Pepper, Maria and Kristen Pfaff and Haeley Barr; a brother Larry (Becky) Pepper of Warsaw; many nieces and nephews; special friend Mr. Joni Miller. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his step father Raymond Arbaugh.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday December 19, 2012 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Masonic services will begin at the conclusion of calling hours at 8:00 PM. Funeral services for Roger will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Health Services of Coshocton County (Hospice), Conesville Volunteer Fire Department or the Conesville United Methodist Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
