Rose C (Brown) Hagans

March 27, 1925 — January 5, 2024

Rose C. Hagans, 98, of Coshocton, passed away at Altercare of Coshocton on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Rose was born on March 27, 1925, and married the late Robert W. “Bill” Hagans on August 25, 1945.

Rose was a homemaker throughout her life and was well known for her baking and candy making skills.  For most of her years, she blessed many with beautiful hard-tack candy, delicious fudge and much more.  If you knew her, you loved her for her ability to give you the most honest answer whether you wanted to hear it or not.  She also enjoyed working alongside her husband, Bill, through many sewing machine ventures including a retail sewing store called “Sew What Sewing”.

Rose was a member of the Keene United Methodist Church.

Rose is survived by her grandchildren, Jeff Mullett (Patti Erman), Janell (Brad) Richard, Amy Hagans, Ashley (Darren) Jacobs and Aaron (Jessica) Hagans; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Josey, Bodey, Taylor and Tannyr Richard; Jason Connolly and Joseph Hagans; Kenzie, Lillian, Luke and Kallie Jacobs and Kellen Hagans.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert W. “Bill” Hagans, three brothers, Jim Osborne, Bob and Ed Saylor and both children, James “Jim” Hagans and Joyce Mullett.

There will be a celebration of life for Rose scheduled in the coming weeks at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton and burial of her cremated remains will take place in South Lawn Cemetery in the spring.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Coshocton Co. Animal Shelter, 21755 TR 164, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
