Ruby E. Masters, 82, died from a lengthy illness and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 10, 2015.
She was born October 1, 1932 near Greenville, Ohio; she was one of ten children born to the late Luther and Lydia (Spencer) Dixon.
She is survived by her husband Glen of Fresno; two daughters Carol (Larry) Bobbitt and Linda Briggs (R. Ruby retired from Edmont Wilson (Becton-Dickinson) in 1989 with 23 years of service. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling in her motor home, boating, fishing, and gardening. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family members and entertaining. She was devoted to serving both the needs of her immediate family and as well as extended family members, not wanting anyone to be in need.
She attended Chili Crossroads Bible Church and Fresno Bible Church. As a child Ruby walked to church often. Enjoying the outdoors, she played baseball in junior high. As an adult she enjoyed mushroom hunting, berry picking and getting apples from the Amish Country. She enjoyed a simple life and had a great sense of humor.
Throughout her lifetime, Ruby loved and had made many quilts. Resourceful, she created her own designs from carefully selected material. Most of her quilts we given to her children and grandchildren as gifts.
