Russel A. Eckelberry, 86, of Coshocton passed away at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home in West Lafayette on Tuesday January 8, 2013.
Russel was born in Guernsey County on October 30, 1926 to the late James and Ada (Corbett) Eckelberry.
He retired from General Electric in 1986 after 39 years of service.
Russel is survived by his wife Winifred Laura (Parks) Eckelberry; children Lois (Larry) Michael of Coshocton, Gary (Sheryl) Eckelberry of Mentor, Bruce (Pat) Eckelberry, Dana (Dee) Eckelberry and Joyce (Leon) Fogle all of Coshocton; one brother Harold (Janet) Eckelberry of Tiffin, OH; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Along with parents, he is preceded in death by six brothers Wilmer, Arthur, James Neal, John, Earl and Leslie.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday January 11, 2013 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Funeral services for Russel will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Don Dolick officiating. Interment will follow in Plainfield Cemetery.
