Ruth Margaret Schwab

Ruth Margaret Schwab, 96, formerly of Coshocton, OH passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 in Lafayette, IN.  She was born September 18, 1927 in Newcomerstown, OH to the late Arthur and Doris (Cheney) McCollum.  She was a 1945 graduate of Coshocton High School. On June 29, 1947 she married Ronald Lee Schwab. He passed away on May 22, 2002. She was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a deaconess for many years.

Ruth was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother.  She was also a beautician, who loved her clients and the time spent talking with them. Her family was her pride and joy. Ruth was a dedicated homemaker and loved to garden. She will always be remembered by her contagious smile.

Survivors include a son Danny (Julie) Schwab of Peachtree City, GA and a daughter Karil (Robert) Geyer of Lafayette, IN. Grandchildren include Timothy (Jessica) Schwab, David Schwab, Robert (Jess) Geyer, Kristine (Jason) Weston, Karla (Brandon) Stevens. Great grandchildren include Paul Brady (Juliana)Schwab, Ethan Lee Weston, Ella Finlee Geyer, Ivy Margaret Stevens, Robert Prime Geyer, Wrenn Adele Stevens.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Linda Montgomery.

Funeral arrangements are with Miller Funeral Home, Coshocton, OH.  Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church, 618 Chestnut St. on Friday, January 19th from 12-1pm, with service beginning at 1 pm with Pastor Joe Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church in memory of Ruth.
