Ruth E. Swayer, 93, of West Lafayette, passed away at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown on Wednesday January 6, 2016.
Ruth was born in Ashville, Ohio to the late Harley and Florence (Compton) Rinehart on July 4, 1922.
She was a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Sharon (Richard) Bluck of West Lafayette; son Bryon (Becky) Swayer of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; grandchildren Chris (Meg) Swayer of Stow, Jennifer (Carey) Fry of Coshocton, Amanda (Dave) Kirby of New Concord and Samantha (John) Williams of Akron; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edwin E. “Ed” Swayer whom she married February 24, 1943, Ed passed away on June 13, 2012; six brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Saturday January 9, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery.
