Shirley E. (Willer) Kirkpatrick

Shirley E. Kirkpatrick, 84, of West Lafayette, passed away on Monday December 12, 2022, at Riverside Manor Nursing Home in Newcomerstown.

Shirley was born in Newcomerstown on December 29, 1937, to the late Herb and Violet (Edwards) Willer.

She graduated from Newcomerstown High School in the class of 1955 and went on to graduate from Cosmetology School.  Shirley was a hairdresser in Zanesville, writer for the Coshocton Tribune, Dover Times Reporter, Newcomerstown News and Berlin News.

Shirley was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Past President of Coshocton B.P.W., Past Chairwoman of American Heart Association, Past President of Relay for Life, Women of Witness, organized the first Girl Scout Troop in West Lafayette known as “Ridge Runners Neighborhood” and formed the first Girl Scout Troop for handicapped children.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Tammy Jo Kirkpatrick of West Lafayette and God Son Damon (Katie) Litsey of Canton.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Roger N. Kirkpatrick; daughter Bobbi Jo Kirkpatrick and sister V. Pauline “Polly” Saggio.

Graveside funeral services for Shirley will be held on Saturday December 17, 2022, at 10:00 AM in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette with Pastor Linda Danskin officiating.
