Suzanne M Boyd

January 16, 1964 — November 25, 2015

Suzanne Marie Boyd (51) died Nov. 25, 2015, surrounded by family members and her dearest friends at The Morrison House for hospice patients in Zanesville, Ohio.

Suzanne is the daughter of Ohlen Boyd and Susan Costinett Boyd of Calabash, NC. Born January 16, 1964, she was preceded in death by her brother Ohlen James Boyd. She is survived by siblings Sharon Stewart (Bob), Diana Miller (Brian), Pat Boyd (Teresa), Mike Boyd (Lynn), Tony Boyd (Debbie), Lesley Boyd (Vieri) and thirteen nieces and nephews.

She graduated from McDonough High School in Pomfret, MD in 1982; earned her Nursing Degree in 2013 and her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing in 2015 from Ohio University.

Suzanne was independent, vivacious and had reached a success on her own that many women never reach. She was an accomplished horsewoman, loved animals of all kinds, but had an exceptional love of cats and horses. She had an incredible sense of humor and is described by those who knew her “as the funniest person they know”. Those who knew her or were lucky enough to have met her will definitely remember her with a smile on their face and probably a memory of something that truly made them laugh.

The family would like to express their love and appreciation to friends Cindee Shifflet and Tonya Spring-Coleman for their friendship, unselfish love, care and support of Suzanne. The family also extends their love and appreciation to her friends and neighbors Mike Barrick and Denny Dobson for looking out for her and for taking care of her pets when she could not.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made In Memory of Suzanne Boyd, to the Coshocton County Animal Shelter, 21755 Township Rd. 164, Coshocton, OH 43812 or The Morrison House, Genesis Health Care Foundation, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701.
